• RENTER must be a  legally licensed driver and provide proof to  ISLAND CAR RENTALS INC. a current, valid driver’s license. 

Accepted Licenses:

1.  Valid Canadian license

2.  Valid U.S. license

3.  Valid International Driver’s license WITH International Driver's Permit (IDP).

• RENTER is required to submit proof of transferrable auto collision, comprehensive and liability coverage for the vehicle they are renting. 

• Renters must be at least 25 years or older. 

**For renters between the ages of 22 and 24, a $20 per day plus HST and per driver underage surcharge is applicable at ISLAND CAR RENTALS INC.’s  discretion.

• Additional Drivers

An additional driver fee of $10 plus HST applies. 

FUEL

The vehicle will have a full tank of fuel at the start of the reservation, The Renter will return the vehicle at the end of the reservation at the same fuel level. A convenience fee of CAD $50.00 plus HST + cost of fuel to fill up will be charged to the Renter’s mode of payment. This does not apply if the Renter purchased the Pre Paid Fuel Extra.

MILEAGE LIMITS

The vehicle rental will include Three Hundred (300) kilometers a day. A fee of CAD $0.45 plus HST per kilometer will apply thereafter. This does not apply if the Renter purchased the Unlimited Mileage Extra.

CANCELLATION POLICY: 

• Cancellations by the Renter 24 hours before reservation start time - Full Refund.

• Cancellations by the Renter within 24 hours of reservation start time - Renter will be charged with 1 day rental rate. 

• Same day booking and reservation - Full refund if cancelled within an hour from booking. 1 day rental rate cancellation fee afterwards. 

• RENTER NO SHOW: If a Renter does not arrive 30 minutes after the reservation time starts, has not communicated via SMS, call or email, Island Car Rentals Inc. reserves the right to cancel the reservation. A No - Show Fee equivalent to the daily rental fee will be applied. 

VEHICLE AREA OF USE

• Limited to Prince Edward Island, Nova Scotia and New Brunswick Only. Penalties will apply if the vehicle is driven outside these three (3) provinces.
